Why Focus on the Roof?

The roof is the largest and often underused energy buffer of any building. Up to 30% of total energy consumption in stores and industrial facilities is used for cooling and HVAC systems. Due to the rising urban heat island effect, roofs and condensers heat up faster, causing higher peak loads and accelerated wear.

With 2030 sustainability goals in sight (–32% scope 2 emissions according to Science Based Targets), adiabatic roof cooling offers a direct and measurable solution. As outdoor temperatures rise, HVAC cooling capacity can drop by 14–15%, while compressor power consumption increases by up to 30%. When condenser inlet air exceeds 40 °C, systems operate inefficiently, leading to higher energy costs, more CO₂ emissions, and reduced comfort.

The Solution: Tecnocooling™ Adiabatic Fogging

Our patented adiabatic fogging technology atomizes ultra-fine water droplets (≈10 µm) in front of the condenser. The micro-mist evaporates instantly, reducing inlet air temperature by up to 12 °C.

How It Works

  1. A high-pressure pump (70 bar) generates an ultra-fine mist in front of the condenser.
  2. The mist evaporates and extracts heat from the air — this is adiabatic cooling.
  3. The reduced condensing temperature lowers compressor workload and increases system efficiency.
